lattice of light

₹29,550.00Price

this piece is inspired by the intricate lattice screens and jali patterns found across historic awadhi architecture, where solid forms are transformed into something light, airy, and full of movement. reimagined in an abstract way, the work explores the relationship between geometry, repetition, and light ---- drawing from the beauty of spaces where sunlight filters softly through carved screens.

the play of light is explored through the positive and negative spaces created within the forms, allowing openness and structure to exist together. intricate threadwork adds another layer to the piece, almost mimicking the layering and scattering of light itself as it moves across surfaces through the day.

in these spaces, light never simply passes through --- it shifts, breaks, and creates patterns of its own. this work reflects that sense of movement and transformation, carrying a feeling of brightness, warmth, and ease. more than anything, it is meant to bring a small sense of lightness into the space it inhabits --- and hopefully, into the lives around it too.
