Every piece created by ranvek is handcrafted slowly and intentionally- stitched thread by thread, finished by hand, and framed using natural materials. Minor variations and signs of craftsmanship are part of the individuality of each work.

Artwork Care

Our artworks are entirely handworked using carefully selected threads and textiles.

While the threads used are stable and do not bleed, we do not recommend washing or soaking the artwork under any circumstance.
 

To maintain the longevity and texture of the piece:

• Avoid direct contact with water, moisture, or liquid cleaning agents.

• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as natural fading may occur over time.

• Avoid touching the artwork surface unnecessarily, as oils and pressure from hands may affect delicate threadwork.

• Gentle handling is always recommended- all art deserves care and respect.
   

Cleaning & Maintenance

To keep the artwork fresh and dust-free:

• Lightly dust the surface using a clean, soft brush approximately once every two weeks, depending on the dust conditions in your environment.

• A gentle steam treatment once every 6 months is recommended to refresh the textile surface and maintain the integrity of the threads.

• Do not scrub, rub, wash, vacuum, or use chemical cleaners on the artwork.
   

Framing & Wood Care

All ranvek pieces are currently sold framed using high-quality pine wood or teak wood, depending on the artwork and finish selected.

As these are natural materials:

• variations in wood grain,

• tonal differences,

• slight inconsistencies in staining,

• and natural markings

may occur from piece to piece. These are considered part of the beauty and authenticity of real wood.
 

For frame care:

• wipe gently using a soft, dry, clean cloth only,

• avoid water, polish, sprays, oils, or harsh cleaning products,

• avoid excessive humidity or direct heat exposure.
   

Placement Recommendations

For best preservation, we recommend displaying your artwork:

• indoors,

• away from direct sunlight,

• away from excessive humidity or damp walls,

• and away from areas prone to heavy dust accumulation.
   

Proper placement and occasional maintenance will help preserve the texture, colour, and overall character of the piece for years to come.
